History through a Lens

Iconic Photographs from
The Incite Project

25 February - 10 May 2017
Victoria Art Gallery

We are delighted to announce the first exhibition drawn from The Incite Project, featuring over 100 photojournalistic prints from 1920 to the present day. Many prints in this exhibition are being shown for the first time, however, a significant number of these images raised awareness and affected opinion of the events they documented when initially published in the press.

The Victoria Art Gallery is the public art museum in Bath. The building was designed in 1897 and houses a permanent display of British oil paintings from 17th century to the present day with works by Thomas Gainsborough, Thomas Jones Barker and Walter Sickert.

A live collection of issue-driven photographic prints, motivated by current political and social concerns that are still within our power to correct
